Best Chocolate Chip Cookies: Albertson's

You gotta believe me on this. They were taste tasted by my entire ex- office (30 people) who unanimously believed they were the best choco chip cookies they'd tasted. That is pretty significant. I found them at the Albertson's in Barrio Logan on 14th and Market. They were in the bakery section in a purple bag and they were fresh baked. Please try them and let me know what you think, they were

Fashion Week Spotlight: Chris Benz

Most of the Fashion Week Shows this season were BLACK, everywhere, taking a more serious tone on design and clothing. One of the few collections to showcase color and lighter cuts was my favorite collection by Chris Benz. Check out the shows of different designers on the NY Times Website.

Deadly Irony

....Really, really fast and generally NOT stopping....

Nursery ideas

Alex and I have been brainstorming ideas for the nursery, which is really exciting. One idea we had is to frame Sharon Montrose's baby deer photo above a white crib with Dwell's chocolate dots sheets. And then, inspired by Jenny, we'd paint a vintage dresser red. (Do you think the color red would be too energizing? We could also go with baby blue.)

P.S. Oh, those chubby legs! I want to eat them!

Fifth Station--The Cross is Laid on Simon of Cyrene

(From The Stations of the Cross, Duccio de Buonensegna, 1308-1311)

Fifth Station: The Cross is Laid on Simon of Cyrene

Leader: O holy Christ, we worship you, we adore you;
People: A stranger unwillingly came to your aid and his life was changed.

Simon of Cyrene was merely a bystander in that rough crowd. As Jesus struggled, the soldiers knew he would need aid carrying his cross. Their eyes scanned the crowd. Simon's eyes looked downward. "Please don't choose me," he thought. "I have nothing to do with this. I merely came in from the country for Passover. Please, Lord. Not me." But perhaps it was his unwilling posture that caught their eye, and they dragged him out to carry Jesus' cross.

As his eyes met those of Jesus, Simon could suddenly see the pain of a broken world in Christ's countenance. From the center of his battered face, unquenchable eyes shone. From that moment, Simon unquestionably carried Jesus' cross.

Leader: Simon of Cyrene had no cross of his own to take up
People: So instead he willingly bore the cross of another.

Leader: Let us pray.
(a brief period of silence is observed.)

Holy God,
You come to us when we do not want you to appear.
You ask us to carry the crosses of others
When we do not desire to even carry our own.
Grant us the courage to carry those crosses
even when we would rather someone else do it.
Grant us the ability to see the privilege in being chosen to serve others.
Fill our hardened hearts
with the ability to serve our God,
even when we are feeling unwilling and unworthy to serve you.

People: Amen.

Holy God,
Holy and Mighty,
Holy immortal one,
Have mercy on us.

Dragon Tattoo

Dragons are the mysterious creatures, usually represented as monstrous, winged and scaly serpents, with enormous claws and a crested head. The word ‘dragon’ is derived from the Latin and French words for the Greek ‘drakwu’. The term is connected with ‘derkomai’ for ‘see’ and interpreted as ‘sharp sighted’. The depictions of dragons have been incredibly complex and diverse, over the years. No

Can I get infectious diseases from tattoo needles?

There are some concerns recently about the spread of disease (especially
Hepatitis-B and AIDS [HIV])
To consider whether a clean environment you been tattooed?
Are needles used for tattooing reused on other customers? If so you should avoid tattoos in these places
Because the spread of the disease in the activities of the tattoo depends on the cleanliness and needles used
Make sure they use needles only for single-use
And in case you should also consider the Hepatitis-B immunization
So better safe than not..
