The rock supergroup A Perfect Circle formed in 1999 by guitarist Billy Howerdel and Tool vocalist Maynard Keenan. The band has gone through a few lineup changes, with the latest lineup featuring Puscifer and Ashes Divide live bassist Matt McJunkins, former guitarist for the Smashing Pumpkins James Iha, and session drummer Josh Freese, best known for his work with Nine Inch Nails, Devo and The Vandals. Despite the varied cast since inception, the stylistic content of their music has remained consistent with Howerdel as the composer and Keenan writing the lyrics. Since their debut, A Perfect Circle has released three studio albums, with eight major singles.
