The Thing

Quickly assembled. Poorly assembled. Dangerous to ride. Akward to ride. Who wouldn't want one? It's actually really comfortable with regular handlebars on it. Janky, though. Made by Ant in one night

Duane's Bikes

Duane has been cranking out the silly little bikes for years at the Flying Monkey Arts Center in Huntsville, AL. He's really got it down to an art. I been on quite a few of them, and they ride pretty well. The second to last one is my favorite. Note the effort put into giving it hand brakes and two speeds. Also, the fenders are made of flippers.

Canadian Rat Rod

When I was Canada we took a pay-train as far out of Toronto as possible (long story), but at the end of the line I happened upon this sweet ratrod locke up next a literal pile of bikes.  Canadian bikes.    Note the red front reflector, the double rear brakes, useless front brake, and crazy-ass frame.  Rad.

Strawberry Short-Bus

One day Brian came over dropped off a bunch of exercise-bike parts he had stripped from an exercise bike on the side of the road. A day of two later he came by and dropped off a rusted out 20" stingray knock-off with a Strawberry Shortcake theme. The next day me and Ant made this. It's almost completely stock, but we too the wheel and chain from the exercise bike. Now the rear wheel is a 20" fixed gear wheel with pretty stout gearing and a squared-off, solid rubber rear tire. Rides like a nightmare!!!

Kevin 2.0

Kevin lives at Big Baby House now.

The Old Shed

Here's some pix from my old shed at the Howie Hilton when I lived there. They were also kind of exploding into the yard.

Mine and Schuyler's tallbixe.

Badass vintage cruiser and my beloved chopper.

Schwinn varsity and my free-parts klunker.

Bike Move '09

Back in '09 I moved from one of house to another. My parents came down to help me move the bicycle collection that took my entire back yard. With a trailer and a truck bed we ended taking two loaded-down trips to get it all...

Some Slaughterama Bikes

I was mostly too drunk to take pictures, and there were plenty of other people taking them. These are just a few of the bikes I took pictures of.

Art Gallery

I told you we aren't the only people who call this art. Pizza Crew was offered a spot in the University of Alabama, New College art gallery. Kind of nice to see them in a clean room instead of a dirty drive-way. They'll be up for about a month, or until we take them to go a ride.

Pixie Racer 1.0

We heard that they do pixie races at Slaughterama, so we built a racing bike. First we put a nice long stem and a lean-back bmx seatpost on so you won't hit your knees on the bars. I'm 6'2" and it fit me. Then a nice cushy seat, and finally a set of aerodynamic Scott bars. But, we flew too close to the sun. The chainring wasn't big enough.

Problem: How can you race with a tiny chainring?

Solution: take fucking dremel and cut out most of the drive-side chain stay. Brilliant.

Problem: stupid idea destroyed rear triangle.

Oh well, live and learn. Looks really cool though, huh?

Zoobomb on the Maryhill

Something I've always wanted to do.  Also, longboarding is crazy.
